The album kicks down the door with ‘WATCHING ME LEAVE’, a song that flips the bird to every unsolicited stare you’ve ever received from a creep and a contemporary clap back to The Police’s 1983 track Every Step You Take – because one person’s romantic gaze is another’s gross threat. “I was looking away while you were smiling at me / You were asking my name while I was finding my seat / Every step that I take I know you’re watching me leave,” vocalist Anna Ryan belts out in lyrics that will feel immediately and viscerally familiar.?
