Take Me To Your Leader is a cult favourite in MF DOOM’s catalogue, issued under the King Ghidra alias and built around dense, off-kilter production and bleakly playful sci-fi imagery. Released in 2003, the album helped define DOOM’s underground legacy by turning villainous abstraction into something strangely melodic and memorable. Its lo-fi textures, clipped rhythms and eccentric guest turns give the record a tense, comic-book feel, while songs such as Fazers and Next Levels show how sharply the project balances menace, wit and head-nodding groove. Widely regarded as one of his most distinctive side projects, it remains a touchstone of early-2000s underground hip-hop.
