Tango In The Night is Fleetwood Mac’s slick late-era triumph, fusing pop-rock sheen with the band’s gift for finely tuned heartbreak. Released in 1987, the album was shaped largely by Lindsey Buckingham and produced with Richard Dashut, following the blockbuster success of Mirage and building on the group’s studio craft. Big Love, Seven Wonders and Everywhere became defining singles, while Little Lies and Isn’t It Midnight underline the record’s knack for melody and tension. It was the band’s final album of the Buckingham-Nicks-era lineup until later reunions, and remains one of their most commercially successful and enduring 1980s releases.
